Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, said in a statement that Tinubu had ordered the recall of all ambassadors from their posts, except for the permanent representatives to the UN.
Pointing out that this directive is a continuation of a careful review of the current situation of Nigerian Consulates and Embassies worldwide, Ngelale said that Tinubu will henceforth strive to bring world class efficiency and quality to the fore in the provision of international and domestic services to citizens, residents and prospective visitors. He said he was determined.
Ngelale noted that Tinibu has exempted Nigeria’s permanent representatives to the United Nations (UN) in New York and Geneva from recall, considering the UN General Assembly to be held later this month.
