According to the news of the Yonhap agency, North Korea’s official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported that the nuclear counterattack exercise, conducted during the joint “war” exercise of South Korea with the United States, consisted of three parts.
It was announced that these are the management of the nuclear attack control system, the transition to the nuclear counterattack state and the launch of the ballistic missile carrying the nuclear warhead model.
It was reported that the ballistic missile launched by North Korea from the northwestern Tongchang-ri region yesterday carried a nuclear warhead model.
It was emphasized that the test was carried out successfully, as the missile, which fell into the Sea of Japan, was detonated at the point determined as the unidentified “main enemy target” when it was 800 meters above the sea as intended.
It was pointed out that the missile test is the final stage of the nuclear counterattack exercise.
It was emphasized that the exercise was a “strong warning” to the United States and South Korea, which did not hide their overt attempts to start a war against North Korea. It was noted that the aggressive actions of North Korea’s “enemies” are more pronounced than ever before.
North Korean leader Kim stated that there are strategic tasks that must be fulfilled in order for the nuclear powers to be ready for war, but did not give details about the content of the strategic tasks.
Successive missile tests
While the “Liberty Shield” exercise, which was launched by South Korea and the USA on March 14, continued, North Korea conducted missile tests on March 15, 16 and 19.
South Korea and Japan announced yesterday that North Korea conducted a ballistic missile test in the direction of the Sea of Japan (East Sea) at 11.05 am local time. Reaching a maximum altitude of 50 kilometers, the ballistic missile traveled 800 kilometers and fell into the Sea of Japan.
Japan had described the experiment as “completely unacceptable”.
It was noteworthy that the experiment was carried out during the “Liberty Shield” exercise, which was launched by the South Korean and US armies at the beginning of the week and will last until 23 March.
The Pyongyang administration has carried out 5 missile tests since the beginning of the month and about 20 missile tests since the beginning of the year.
