The Organization of Islamic Cooperation announced that it is deeply concerned about the clashes between the army and the HDK in some cities of Sudan.
OIC Secretary General Hüseyin İbrahim Taha, whose words were included in the statement, called on the parties in Sudan to immediately end the conflicts.
Inviting the conflicting parties to return to the dialogue process by taking into account the interests of the Sudanese people, Taha emphasized that the Sudanese people have full faith in overcoming this crisis through dialogue and negotiations.
Secretary General Taha noted that the OIC attaches importance to the security, stability and peace of Sudan.

Armed clashes broke out yesterday morning between the army and the paramilitary NGO in Sudan’s capital Khartoum and its various cities.
The disagreement between the army and the HDK regarding the military security reform, which envisages the full participation of the HDK in the army, had turned into a hot conflict between the two powers.
