Bekri, in his statement, stated that Palestine has taken action to help Turkey and Syria since the first day of the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes.
Reminding that the Palestinian Ministry of Foundations and Religious Affairs started a campaign to help earthquake victims with the instructions of President Mahmud Abbas and Prime Minister Muhammed Shtiyya, Bekri noted that approximately 2 million dollars were collected in mosques and the bank accounts of the ministry with donations made by citizens.
Bekri stated that 20,000 sleeping bags have been prepared in coordination with Turkish institutions and will be sent to earthquake victims in the coming days.
Bekri said that the Palestinian Embassy in Ankara also played an important role in helping the Turkish people and 500 Palestinian families affected by the earthquake.
“Turkey will come out of this crisis as soon as possible”
Emphasizing that he also trusts President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s promises to his people, the Palestinian Minister said, “Turkey will come out of this crisis as soon as possible. I believe, after a year, the Turkish government will fulfill its promise. They have all kinds of opportunities, most importantly, that will. ” he said.
