The world-famous festival will be held from May 16 to May 27 in Cannes, in the province of Alpes-Maritimes.

In the decision published by the Alpes-Maritimes Governorate, it was stated that the city of Cannes will host 120,000 people during the festival.

It was noted in the decision that it was forbidden to organize a demonstration in the festival area from May 16 to May 28 at 06:00.

The threat of energy cuts at the festival from trade unionists

The energy arm of the General Employment Union (CGT), which is against the pension reform enacted in the country, threatened to cut the electricity during the Cannes Film Festival.

Numerous demonstrations are held across the country against the reform, which gradually increased the retirement age from 62 to 64.
