Sending a video message to the “Great Project” conference held in Warsaw, the capital of Poland, Morawiecki stated that Ukraine displayed a heroic resistance.
Stating that the rules have changed in the world, Morawiecki said, “The post-politics era is coming to an end before our eyes. Politics reminded us of itself by dressing in the terrible face of war.”
Emphasizing that Europe defends the values of human dignity, individual freedom and democracy, Morawiecki said that what is at issue in the Ukraine-Russia war is not the survival of Kiev, but also the future of the West.
Noting that Russia’s “aggression” led to radical political and economic changes, Morawiecki said, “Today we know beyond any doubt that neither peace, security, nor freedom are given once and forever. It is our most sacred national duty to protect them.” he said.
Pointing out that the “victory of Russia” is the greatest danger for Europe, Morawiecki said:
“Ukraine’s heroic resistance and the Central and Eastern European countries led by Poland to come to the rescue of Ukraine by taking the whole of NATO on their side, enabled the West to finally stand up to Russia. Strong and conscious of its heritage, loyal to the values that built its greatness. “A Europe can survive today’s historical upheavals. This is a great task for all of us, because no one can prevent our generation from fulfilling this task.”
