The project of resettling families in the regions liberated from the occupation of Armenia, which the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev called the “great return”, continues.
Within the scope of the project, 23 families consisting of 90 people were settled in Fizuli.
Families arriving in Fizuli were greeted by officials from the State Committee’s Repatriation Department. Families were settled in houses, which were the first buildings of the city of Fizuli.
Fizuli, which was occupied by the Armenians in 1993, was liberated by the Azerbaijani army on October 17, 2020.
Azerbaijan has been constructing living quarters, roads and airports for the last 3 years in the region it liberated from occupation with the “homeland war” that lasted for 44 days.
