In a statement made by the ministry, it was stated that Germany has once again decided on the mass expulsion of employees of Russian diplomatic missions.
Noting that Moscow “strongly condemns these actions of Berlin, which continues to openly destroy all aspects of Russian-German relations, including diplomatic,” the Russian side said, “As a reaction to Berlin’s hostile actions, German diplomats were expelled from Russia as a reciprocity. decided to do so.”
In the statement shared that it was also decided to reduce the number of German diplomatic mission employees in Russia to the maximum, it was stated that this decision was conveyed to Geza Andreas von Geyr, the German Ambassador to Moscow, during the meeting held at the Russian Foreign Ministry on 5 April.
Spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mariya Zakharova, on the other hand, told the Russian Zvezda television channel that the number of German diplomats who were deported from Russia was over 20.
