In a statement made by the ministry, it was stated that the United States has repeatedly imposed sanctions on Russian officials and citizens.
In response to this, it was stated in the statement that 500 US citizens were sanctioned, and that the names in question were banned from entering Russia.
The statement included the names of 500 people included in the sanctions list.
The list included political officials, including former US President Obama, members of the senate and congress, experts and analysts on the grounds of spreading false information about Russia, and executives of companies operating in the field of defense on the grounds that they were shipping weapons to Ukraine.
Emphasizing that any “hostile” action against Russia would not go unanswered, the statement reminded that Russian journalists were not given American visas to follow the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) meeting, which Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had previously attended in New York.
For this reason, it was stated in the statement that the request of the US Embassy in Moscow to visit the US journalist, who was arrested on charges of espionage in Russia, was rejected.
