Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemns the attack on the car of the Turkish Ambassador to Khartoum

In a statement made by the ministry, the attack was condemned, claiming that this incident reflected the HDK’s approach of constantly targeting embassies, international organizations and diplomatic missions.

In addition to the crimes of rape and sexual harassment against female workers in the field of international aid, the “rebel forces” received 10 official reports of attacks and looting of embassies and ambassadors’ residences, the statement said:

“The armed attack on the car of the Turkish Ambassador in Khartoum is a continuation of his crimes, including killing civilians, using citizens as human shields, occupying medical facilities, and targeting vital services to deprive citizens of their basic needs as a weapon of war.”


Attack on the convoy of the Turkish Ambassador in Khartoum

In Sudan, fire was opened on the embassy vehicle in the convoy of Turkish Ambassador to Khartoum, İsmail Çobanoğlu, near the embassy.

The army and the HDK blamed each other for the attack targeting the diplomatic vehicle where Ambassador Çobanoğlu was located.

Regarding the shooting at Ambassador İsmail Çobanoğlu’s vehicle, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said, “None of our brothers, ambassadors or our guards, including our special forces, were injured.” he said.
