According to the Mizan News Agency affiliated with the Iranian Judiciary, the Revolutionary Court in Ize has ruled in the case of the attack in which 7 people, including 9-year-old Kiyan Pirfelek, were killed.

In the news, it was informed that the case of Abbas Kurkuri, who was stated to be one of the main perpetrators of the armed attack on 16 November, was heard at the Ahvaz Revolutionary Court.

At the hearing attended by the defendant and his lawyer, it was stated that Kurkuri was given the death penalty and that the way to appeal the decision was open.

Kurkuri, “combat by drawing a gun to kill people”, “mischief on earth”, “cause fear by drawing a gun”, “disturbing public order”, “damaging public and private property”, “forming an insurgent group” and “arming against the regime”. He was on trial with the accusation of “participating in the movement”.

In the videos on the social media regarding the funeral, it was seen that Zeyneb Mevlayi, the mother of the child who died in the attack, said that “the attack was organized by security forces, not terrorists”.
