The ballot papers in Austria were sent to Turkey

Following the end of the voting process that lasted for 13 days in Austria, the ballot papers, accompanied by consular officials and political party representatives in the Ballot Storage and Transport Commission of the Turkish Consulate General in Vienna, set off to be delivered to the THY plane in Munich by official vehicles.

The commission headed by Turkey’s Consul General to Vienna Cafer Mert Özmert departed from Austria’s capital Vienna to Munich Franz Josef Strauss Airport with 3 official vehicles carrying 21 sealed sacks.

Apart from Vienna, the ballot papers in the Salzburg and Bregenz Consulates General of Austria will also be transferred to the THY plane.

Apart from Austria, ballot papers will be brought here from some foreign representations in Germany. Then, the sacks will be taken from Munich to Turkey by THY’s plane to be delivered to the Supreme Election Council (YSK).

Turkey’s Ambassador to Vienna, Ozan Ceyhun, announced that a total of 62,349 voters cast their votes in Austria, where there are approximately one hundred 111 thousand voters, during the 13-day voting process.
