The crew, which landed at the International Blaise Diagne Airport, was greeted by Senegal’s Minister of Interior Felix Diome, Turkey’s Ambassador to Dakar Nur Sağman, Search and Rescue Commander General Mamadou Ndioye, embassy employees, representatives of Turkish institutions and children.
Interior Minister Diome, in his statement at the meeting, said that when they saw the destruction caused by the earthquake, they decided to send a team to Turkey immediately.
Underlining that the Senegalese search and rescue team’s participation in the work in Turkey is a reflection of the friendship and brotherhood between the two countries, Diome said, “Turkey will undoubtedly overcome these difficult days. The people of Senegal are always with the Turkish people.”

Ambassador Sağman also said, “They are our children, our heroes from Senegal. They went to Hatay, which was most affected by the earthquake, and even experienced an earthquake there. Senegal showed all kinds of solidarity with us during this process. Our heroes returned safely, thank God. Turkish people are grateful to you. Thank you very much. ‘ he said.
