Toyota Motor’s global sales in February rose 10.3% compared to the same period last year, reaching a record level.
According to the Japanese company’s statement, Toyota increased its global sales by 10.3 percent to 773 thousand 271 in February compared to last year, compared to the same month of the previous year.
The rebound in local sales after the easing of the semiconductor supply gap was instrumental in the record-breaking increase in February.
Accordingly, sales in Japan increased by 53.2 percent to 155 thousand 840, while overseas sales increased by 3 percent to 617 thousand 431.
On the other hand, the domestic production of the Japanese company increased by 11.2 percent to 281 thousand 521, while global production increased by 2 percent to 755 thousand 839.
