The decree, which includes Putin’s retaliatory steps against Russian assets frozen abroad, has been published in the country’s legal information system.
In the decree, which allows the appointment of trustees to the assets of unfriendly countries, especially the USA, in Russia, the control of the said assets will be carried out by the Russian Federal State Property Management Agency.
In this context, it was stated in the decree that a trustee was appointed for the management of the assets of German Uniper and Finnish Fortum companies in Russia.
Uniper has five geothermal power plants in Russia, while Fortum has seven geothermal power plants as well as various electricity generation and distribution investments.
