According to the statement made by the Ukrainian Government Press Center, Prime Minister Shmigal made evaluations about the Grain Corridor Agreement at the government meeting.
Noting that Ukraine is one of the key links of world food security, Shmigal said, “For this reason, we insist that the grain agreement be indefinite and automatically extended for 120 days.”
Pointing out that such an attitude is also defended by Turkey and the United Nations (UN), Shmigal said, “The attacker’s attempt to shorten the agreement period is a manipulation to further blackmail and escalate the global food crisis. This should not be allowed.”
