In the statement made by the UN Office, it was reported that three cargo planes prepared by the IOM Office departed from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to Turkey yesterday.
In a joint statement made by Turkey’s Ambassador to Kenya Subutay Yüksel and IOM Deputy Regional Director Justin MacDermott, it was stated that 280 tons of humanitarian aid materials were sent to the earthquake victims on the planes.
In the statement, it was noted that the aid materials included tents, blankets, sleeping mats and tarpaulins.
In the statement, it was stated that more than 1200 personnel of IOM continues to work in the earthquake-affected areas, and that humanitarian aid to the earthquake areas will continue.
