US accuses Russia of hitting Ukraine’s grain warehouses

The US State Department shared a video message from its social media account.

The message included pre- and post-attack photos of a granary allegedly targeted in Ukraine’s Rubizhne butchery.

In the message, it was stated that Russia’s attacks on Ukrainian grain warehouses had terrible consequences for the farmers in the country and the starving people in the world, and it was pointed out that many families could be fed with grain here.

The message called on Russia to end its attacks and return to the Black Sea Grain Initiative.

“Another example of Putin’s immeasurable cruelty”

U.S. Permanent Representative to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield accused Russia of targeting the Izmail Port, adding, “This is another example of Putin’s immeasurable cruelty while many people are starving around the world (Russian President Vladimir)”.

The Russian Ministry of Defense argued that a warning fire was opened on a dry cargo ship moving towards Ukraine’s Izmail Port in the Black Sea.

In a statement made on 19 July by the Russian Ministry of Defense, it was stated that all ships going to Ukrainian ports will be considered as “potential military cargo carriers”.
